Week 1 (8/26 -- 9/2)

  1. Introduction to the class.

      • Go to Google Drive (create an account if you do not have one).
      • Create a folder called "Last_name-MAT241F24" in Google Drive and share it with joaquin.o.carbonara@gmail.com. For example, Jim Bar would call the folder Bar-MAT241S24.
      • Create a Colab notebook called Last_name_week1.ipynb
        • In the Colab notebook use a text tab to create a nicely formatted title (up to you)
        • In the Colab notebook print the sentence "Hello world! I can do python"
        • In the Colab notebook try with a few other python commands and explanatory text.
    • Hash ID: Create HID from BID as follows: B00ABCDEF => HA+B,C+D,E+F. For example B00123456 => H3711 (since 1+2 = 3, 3+4 = 7 and 5+6 = 11), and B00132466 => H4612 (since 1+3 = 4, 2+4 = 6 and 6+6 = 12)
